Today is a phonics day. There are 4 small tasks. Please feel free to do as many or as few as you like.
1. (Warm up) Read the coloured reception tricky words - See resources. These are words we have sent before so you may already have them printed out. If not, we have provided a black and white version too to save printer ink.
2. Print out the real and nonsense words. (See resources - task 2) Cut them up and place them in a bag. Pull out a word at a time and read it. (Remember to sound it out). Put the real words on one side and the nonsense words in the "bin".
3. Write words. (See resources - task 3). Say each word and ask your child to write it by sound talking it carefully first.
4. Read the first part of the interactive story "What did you put in my lunchbox?" (Read up until "Wednesday" (We will finish this tomorrow). This is on Phonics play:
