Recalling multiplication facts is important as it supports children with other aspects of the Maths curriculum. Times tables knowledge enhances mental arithmetic and allows children to solve problems more easily. Children should be given daily opportunities to practice their times tables, either verbally, written or as part of a game. Pupils in Year 4 will be completing the Multiplication Table Check officially this year, where they are expected to be able to recall multiplication facts up to 12 x 12. Therefore, it is extremely important that children practice their times tables often to ensure they become fluent and confident. Alongside the use of TTRockstars, below are some links to games/resources that you may find useful to support your child with their multiplication recall. Children should be familiar with these resources as we use them within school already.

Please be assured that we are providing children with as many opportunities as possible to practice in school through a variety of methods, but further learning at home will support the development of these skills. If you have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact me via our class email.
