Our Autumn topic is 'Heroes and Superheroes'!
Within science we will testing different materials in order to create Ice Man a jacket to keep him frozen. We will also be creating our own superhero car, testing different materials to help it move quickly and efficiently! We will be looking at what makes us super, investigating at our five senses and looking at our unique fingerprints. We will make comparisons between other living things and what makes them super too!
Within geography we will creating our own superhero 'secret locations', using a variety of geographical skills and language. We will be using aerial photographs and will be planning perspectives to recognise key landmarks.
Within history we will be looking at real-life heroes. We will be considering who keeps us safe such as the police, fireman and nurses and how these jobs have changed through time. We will be researching a real-life hero, Florence Nightingale.
Within PSHE we will be considering what makes us super and how we can be heroes everyday through looking after each other and the environment around us.
Our art focus will be Andy Warhol's 'Pop Art'. We will be creating our own superhero comic books!
