Using different coloured circles or plates or objects to place on the floor, ask your child to to make a repeating pattern caterpillar by choosing the first circle, placing on floor, then 2nd, placing on floor, 3rd etc……..ensure the chn make a repeating pattern of no more than 4 in one sequence as they continue. Next ask, "which colour s FIRST? Which is THIRD?" etc

Write on each circle it’s place – 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc….
