Another busy week for the Owls' Class.
In maths, we have been busy finding three-quarters of an amount. We can do this by finding a quarter and multiplying it by three. We can also share a number into 4 groups, as we would if we were finding one quarter, and add three of the groups together. Show someone what you can do:
We then completed our end of unit assessment. Next week, we begin our new unit of work: Measurement- Length & Height. Can you begin by measuring some of the items in your house?
In English, we have been busy innovating our model text. We started the week by thinking of alternative rhyming words for the second line of each verse. We then used these rhyming words to think of new second lines for the poem. Can you remember what you came up with?
Everywhere I look, new life is here,
Around me I see colours so bright,
I hear the leaves above me and the ice cream van calling,
Everywhere I walk, I smell the sweet scent of flowers,
Spring is here, it is all around,
In science, we have been exploring world habitats and the animals that live there. We explored how animals are adapted to suit their environment. Can you remember why camels and polar bears have these features to suit their habitat?
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
