WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

W/C 03.10.22

Well done Owls for super week!

In maths, we have been comparing pictures and numbers. Have a go at the problems below:

We have also been learning to count in groups of 2. Can you show someone at home how we do this? Use the number square below to help you:

In English, we have been learning our new model text: How to Trap a Dragon! Blaze has been doing lots of mischevious things around the classroom, so Mrs Taylor-Day wrote instructions on how to trap him. Can you tell someone about our instructions? We have also been looking at using time conjunctions and imperative verbs (bossy verbs). Can you spot them in the instructions below:

First, brush your teeth.

Next, read a story.

Finally, go to sleep.

Here is the song to help us remember imperative verbs: https://video.link/w/rWyL?src=syt

In Topic, we have had our Victorian Workshop! We had so much fun learning about what life was like in 1900. What was school like? What jobs did they have? What jobs did a maid have to do?

Take a look at our pictures below!

Key Messages:

  • Thank you to those who have got back to me with your preferred parents' evening slots. We have sent the children home with a slip of paper letting you know when your appointment time and date is. We have tried to get people as close to their preferred time as possible. Please contact me if there are any problems, or if the slip of paper has gone missing. Please return these on Monday if you haven't yet completed the forms.
