Well done Owls for a fantastic first week back to school for our summer term 2.
In maths, we have started our new topic: Measurement. We have been learning to measure accurately in centimetres and metres, and have been learning to compare lengths. Can you show someone at home what you can do?
In English, we have started learning our new model text: a newspaper report about the Gruffalo! Can you tell someone at home what the newspaper article is about? Who were the witnesses? Where did they see the Gruffalo? How did they describe the Gruffalo?
In topic, we have continued with our topic all about plants! On Tuesday we went on our school trip to Carsington Water. In the morning we learnt all about the parts of a plant and their functions. We then went on a wild flower scavenger hunt and learnt all about food chains. In the afternoon, we went pond dipping and found lots of different water creatures living in the wetland habitat. Can you tell someone at home one thing you learnt? What was your favourite part of the trip?
