What a great week we have had, Kingfishers! You have all worked hard to complete some excellent work!
Maths
In Maths this week we have been looking at multiplying and dividing by 3 and 4. We have looked at how to share and group into different sized groups and how we can relate this to our times tables. We then used these skills to develop our problem solving and reasoning.
English
At the start of the week, the children created their own drawings of a product or place that they want to write an advert for. We have been looking at writing rhetorical questions and using apostrophes to show contractions. We changed statements into rhetorical questions and looked at how we could use questions to promote products. The children had lots of fun creating their products and were really proud of their work.
History
We have started our new history topic on the Romans! The children created their own topic pages which included questions on what they wanted to find out over the topic and information about they already know. We learnt about some key vocabulary, such as an empire, emperor, aqueduct, sanitation and rebellion. We recapped what BC and AD meant. The class acted as 'mini historians' and collected information from around the room to answer the following questions:
