In maths, we finished our 'Multiplication & Division' unit off with finding and recognising odd and even numbers. Can you find the odd numbers: 23 , 5 , 12 , 76 , 8 , 21
How do you know they are odd numbers?
We then completed our multiplication and division assessment to show our knowledge. The children have all worked extremely hard with this unit of work. Please continue to discuss and practice the work we have completed in school with your children at home to consolidate their learning.
In English, we completed our 'hot writes'. We used our plans to carefully write a letter about our adventures. Can you remember some of the adventures you wrote about? Can you tell someone at home what we include at the top of our letter? How do we finish a letter?
In topic, we were exploring some of Australia's natural landmarks. Can you remember the names of some of these places? Show someone at home where you would find them using the map below:
Use the word mat to help you:
Some of the children have asked for some maths work to complete over the February half-term holiday. This half-term we have covered two topics in maths, multiplication and division. I have produced two worksheets for the children to complete, covering the two topics of maths. If you require another copy of the homework, please find it on our class page under the tab ‘Homework’ or see below.
Please note that this homework is optional. Please do not feel this has to be completed. If the children do wish to complete all or some of the worksheets, please could they bring them in on the first week back after the half-term.
The children have had a super half-term in Owls Class, I am very proud of all of their hard work. I hope you all have a lovely break.
