Maths

In our Maths learning, we have been learning about multiplication this week. We started off by seeing if we could count in 4s and 8s. We looked at hoe we could use our 2 and 4 times tables to help us with this. We learned how we could use inverse operations to help us solve reasoning problems. We also wrote multiplication number sentences in the form of   8  x __ = __ . Here are some pictures below. English

In our English learning, we have been continuing our work on persuasive adverts. We started off the week by learning about conjunctions and how we could use this to make sentences more interesting. We learned that a conjunction joins two words or two sentences together. We also looked at how we can create a balanced argument. We used our book 'Leon and the Place Between' to create an argument on whether Leon should go into the box or not. 

 Art

This week in art we have been creating our own walls reading for our very own Stone Age cave art! This lesson involves taking the children on a natural colours walk to collect natural objects. We used berries, spices and lentils to produce different pigments. We mixed the spices with water and used these to make our own paint.
