Another very busy week in the Puffins class. We have carried on thinking about mould, written instruction for intrepid explorers and thought about social media and how to behave on it.
Maths this week has seen us think about percentages, converting them to decimals and fractions and comparing them. This has allowed us to think about equivalent fractions and cancelling down fractions as well.
In English we have finished our Hot Write Instructions. The children have really impressed me with how well they edited and improved their writing, this is becoming a skill that they are definitely developing as they go on.
We have carried on observing our pieces of bread to see which ones develop mould. Our dirty hands were obviously very dirty! We have also thought about fossils in our Rock Science topic.
We had a very good discussion this week about social media and its positives and negatives. We thought about how we should behave on social media and the best ways to keep us safe.
We have handed out both spellings and homework this weekend but we are giving the children two weeks to complete their homework and learn their spellings.
If you have any last-minute queries about the residential please don’t hesitate to email me on the class email address.
We hope you have a lovely weekend! And enjoy Mother's Day!
Have fun packing,
The Puffins Team
