Well done Owls, we have nearly made it to Easter half-term! You have all worked really hard this week!
In maths, we have been exploring 3D shapes! We have been busy counting the faces and edges of different 3D shapes! Take a look at our pictures below. Can you tell someone at home how many faces a cube has? How many faces does a squared-based pyramid have? What's special about cones, cylinders and spheres?
In English, we have been working hard to plan our persuasive writing all about saving the sea turtles! The children have been researching all about sea turtles in preparation for their hot write. Can you tell someone at home a fact you have learnt about sea turtles? What has caused sea turtles to become endangered? On Friday, we began our hot writes. We ensured we included lots of persuasive language such as, 'please help', 'you must', 'it is important' and 'unfortunately'.
In topic, we have been learning about things that are living, dead and never been alive. Can you sort these items into those three groups?: a hat, a chicken, a metal spoon, a wooden bench, a tree and a fossil.
Have a wonderful weekend, Owls!
