Happy half-term Owls! Well done on another fantastic half-term full of wonderful learning!
In maths, we have been learning to count in fractions and have been solving problems using our super fraction knowledge. We have now completed our 'fractions' unit of work- well done Owls!
Show someone at home how you would solve these problems:
In English, we have been learning to use apostrophes to show possession. Can you tell someone at home where the apostrophes need to go in these sentences?
This is the dogs bed.
That is Sophies bike.
Mums car is blue.
We have also been looking at compound words. Can you tell someone at home what a compound word is? Can you think of an example? I will start you off... class + room = classroom.
In science, we have been looking at the life cycle of a plant. We also made some conclusions based on the findings from our cress experiment. Can you tell someone at home which condition was best for the cress and why?
