Happy weekend Owls! You have all worked hard this week, well done!
In maths, we have been comparing numbers to 100 using our 'greater than', 'less than' and 'equal to' symbols (> < =). We have also been ordering numbers to 100 from smallest to greatest and from greatest to smallest. Can you order these numbers from greatest to smallest? 45, 21, 73, 13, 99. This week, we have also been counting in groups of 2. Can you show someone at home what you can do and solve this problem!
In English, we innovated our model text and changed the character who had gone missing. Use your story map to help retell the descriptive poster to someone at home:
Can you tell someone at home what happened on Wednesday evening? Unfortunately, our pet rocks went missing! So we planned our descriptive posters and completed our first 'hot writes' in year 2. Can you tell someone at home about your poster? Can you remember some of the expanded noun phrases you used to describe your pet rock?
The Owls did such a fantastic job, that they returned on Friday afternoon! Phew! Well done, Owls!
In topic, we have been learning about how education changed throughout the Victorian era. Can you fill in the gaps below and show someone at home what you have learnt?
We then wrote a thank you letter to Lord Shaftesbury. Can you tell someone at home who he was and why we were thanking him?
Well done on another brilliant week, Owls!
