Another super week of learning. We are nearly at the end of our Spring Term!
In maths, we have been looking at 3D shapes and their properties. Tell someone at home what a 3D shape is. Can you find some 3D shapes in your home? We have been counting the faces, edges and vertices on 3D shapes. Show someone at home what you can do:
We then completed our end of unit assessment! We did a super job. On Friday, we started our new unit of work: Fractions. We were sorting objects into equal groups. Show someone at home how you could sort the objects below into equal groups:
In English, we were learning how to use possessive apostrophes. Show someone at home what you can do:
We have also been innovating our model text, The Queen's Handbag. In our story, the Queen is walking around the palace gardens with her corgi. She is wearing her special, golden crown. We changed the introduction by changing our characters, where they are and what special item they were wearing/carrying. Can you tell someone at home what your ideas were? On Thursday and Friday, we were busy planning our own story, using the sections of our model text to help us. Tell someone at home what you have planned for each section:
In topic, we have been looking at the similarities and differences between life in the UK and in Australia. See if you can complete the Venn Diagram:
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
