Well done for a super week, Owls!
In maths, we have started our new topic of learning: time. We have been learning to tell the time 'o'clock', 'half past', 'quarter to' and 'quarter past'. We Have also been learning to tell the time to every 5 minutes! Please keep practising telling the time at home over the weekend. Can you show someone at home what you can do?
In English, we have been completing some Year 2 reading assessments to show off our fantastic reading skills. We have been using our inference, making predictions and using our knowledge to answer questions. We also completed a SPAG paper and a spelling paper. The children all did fantastically! You should be very proud of yourselves.
In Topic, we have been learning about keep our bodies healthy. We have talked about a healthy, balanced diet and made our own food menus. Can you tell someone at home what a balanced diet is? Can you remember how many portions or fruit and vegetables we should have a day? How many treats should we have? We have also been learning about why exercise is important in keeping our bodies healthy. Can you tell someone at home why exercise is healthy? We also designed our own obstacle courses on the playground and allowed everyone in our class to have a go! These were a lot of fun! Please see our pictures below!
