Happy Friday! I can't believe how quickly these weeks are going!
In maths, we have been busy solving problems using our 5 and 10 times table knowledge. Show someone at home what you can do:
We have also started to divide. Show someone at home what the division symbol looks like. We have been making equal groups by sharing. For example, if I had 10 sweets and I shared them with 5 friends, how many sweets would we have each? Show someone at home your super knowledge:
In English, we have been learning our new model text. Over the next couple of weeks, we will be learning how to write a letter. We read the story 'Traction Man' and then read a letter that he had sent to his mum and dad explaining what adventures he had been on. Can you remember some of the adventures? Use our story map to help you:
In topic, we have been learning about Australia's climate and weather and have been comparing it to the weather in the United Kingdom. Use the map below to tell someone at home about the climate in Australia:
We then became weather presenters and informed the rest of the class about the weather in Repton and compared it to the weather in Townsville, Australia.
What a super week! Well done, Owls!
