WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

WC: 3/2/25

Only one week to go until half term. Read below to see what we have been up to...

English

This week we have been looking at 'The Enormous Crocodile.'

The children acted as mini detectives and saw what adjectives and verbs they could spot in the text. We then made predictions for what we thought might happen next in the story. We started off the week by reading the              Enormous Crocodile's clever tricks 1 and 2.

We worked on using these adjectives and verbs in our writing throughout the week.

We have continued looking at fractions this week. We looked at equivalent fractions on number lines and bar models which the children worked really hard with.

We used visual images to say which fractions were equivalent to each other. We spent time looking at how some fractions are equivalent and how others aren't and how we can tell. We used our rhyme 'What we do to the top, we do to the bottom' to help us remember that when finding equivalent fractions we need to times or divide the numerator and denominator by the same number.

Can you answer these reasoning questions?
