We enjoyed a magical Forest School session this week! The children discovered some rather strange items on the forest floor - colourful feathers and beans! We wondered where they'd come from. We realised that the hen in the story of Jack and the Beanstalk has magical feathers and of course, Jack planted magic beans! We thought that perhaps the Giant had been in the forest and we went on a hunt to look for more clues. We saw giant's and hen's footprints and then found the best clue of all - a golden egg!!! The children were so excited and couldn't believe it! We sat in a circle and calmly listened to the sounds around us and heard the noise of the magic harp! The children understood that this was all make-believe and we were only using our imaginations. We then had a hot chocolate and listened to Emma's version of the story that she brought in from home. Thank you Emma!
