We had another lovely week in Robins class. The children have been learning about spiders this week. We watched spiders spinning their webs in fascination and the children learned that they laid eggs that hatched into baby spiders. They wrote information pages about what they had learned.
They also used a variety of materials to make spiders to add to our minibeast garden display. They look fantastic!
In maths we explored repeating patterns. The children used coloured cubes to create their own repeating patterns and recognised that each unit of pattern was repeated.
In Forest schools we had a lovely minibeast hunt which the children thoroughly enjoyed. They used a tick sheet to hunt for a variety of minibeasts and used their knowledge from their learning this term, to look in the most likely habitats to find them. Please see our Forest School section for photos.
Friday was our trip to Twycross zoo of course. We had an amazing time and were so lucky with the weather. Many thanks to the parents that came to help us as without them we would not have been able to visit. Please see the Twycross zoo trip section on our class page for photos.
Have a wonderful weekend! ⚽️🤞🏻
