Half way through the year! We can’t believe how it is flying. This week we have learned where food comes from and focused on different types of shops and what they sell. The children have learned about the traditional shops - butchers, bakery and green grocers and what they sell. They sorted which food comes from which. We also enjoyed tasting chips! We used all our senses to think of words to describe them and together, created a class poem about them. The children then wrote their own poems in their writing books.
In maths we sorted 2D and 3D shapes and talked about their properties.
What a lovely surprise on Monday afternoon when it snowed! A fantastic opportunity to go outside and enjoy ourselves!! We loved playing in the snow; feeling it, walking on it and tried to avoid the temptation to lie in it!
Have a wonderful half term. We will see you on Monday 24 Feb.
