This week we have learned all about snails. We looked at Henri Matisse's painting 'The Snail' and the children tried to make their own version of his painting using pieces of ripped paper. We also enjoyed making salt dough snails, by rolling out the dough and shaping it into a spiral. We learned all about a snail, what it eats and the parts of its body.
In English the children really impressed us with their increased independence when writing, when we wrote all about our visit to Twycross Zoo.
In maths we made maps of our journeys to school. The children then designed a plan for an obstacle course and then made it on the playground.
We all enjoyed a hot and sweaty sports day! The photos are on this class page. Well done to all the children for their efforts!
We can't believe we have reached the end of this school year already. Next week we will explore the theme of the seaside and have a lovely sunny time, I'm sure!
Have a lovely weekend.
