ReptonPrimary School

Week 6

Wow Robins!  This week you have done us all proud. What a superb Nativity play!  We were so happy to see how confident you all were and how hard you have worked to remember all your songs and words.  Well done indeed! (photos on main class page)

We had a busy week, apart from the Nativity, learning all about The Gingerbread Man.  We baked Gingerbread and cut out men with cookie cutters and decorated them with icing and sweets.  We wrote about rhyming words that we found in the story and continued rhyming strings - run, fun, sun.  man, can, van etc.

In maths we counted the buttons on 2 Gingerbread men and then counted how many buttons there were altogether using the language of addition.

On Friday we all loved Christmas Jumper Day for Save the Children and enjoyed a yummy Christmas Dinner, followed by Arthur Christmas the movie with the rest of the school.

We look forward to our last week of the term next week, where the topic is...…..Christmas!  On Wednesday we will join in with our Christmas Party.  Please send in your party food on the day (see slip in bookbags - in the Gingerbread Man bag!).  You may also wear party clothes which we will change into beforehand.  Please send in in a clearly named bag.  Thursday will be Pantomime Day!

Phew!  Not long until Santa arrives ………… frown
