Our Learning
What a busy week we have had in Seals class, full of festive fun! It has involved Christmas jumpers, Christmas crafts, pantos and productions!
English –
The Seals have worked incredibly hard this week, planning and writing their own discussion texts. Each child chose their own discussion topic and worked carefully to present both sides of their argument within their writing. Today, we have published our final, edited piece of work for the writing wall.
Maths -
We have finished our converting units work and have now moved on to ratio. This week has been a steady introduction to ratio: looking at multiplicative and additive relationships between numbers, and beginning to use ratio language.
History -
In our topic lessons this week, we have learned about ancient Greek beliefs. This has involved learning about mythical creatures, ancient gods and goddesses, and the origins of democracy in ancient Greece.
Festive fun -
We know it's early but the festivities have begun in Seals class! As well as enjoying the panto and Christmas dinner/jumper day, we have also been getting our Christmas craft on!
Homework –
Children have been given a piece of Maths and English homework this week which relates to the learning we have been doing in school. The task has been explained in class, but if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Homework is due in school on Monday 11th December 2023.
