What a fantastic week we have had in Seals! It has been lovely welcoming the children back to school and getting to know each and every one of them! We have been very busy, spending the week creating artwork for our displays and starting our Year 4 learning!
We began our first Maths unit this week, which is 'Place Value'. Throughout the week we have recapped numbers up to 1,000. We have created numbers using base 10, written numbers in digits and words, made our own card game and placed numbers on a number line using masking tape!
This week in English the children produced some creative writing. We received a mystery package and the children had to create a story based around this. We had some very imaginative ideas and some lovely handwriting too!
This week, we begun our 'Stone Age to Iron Age' topic. We discussed what we already know and what we would like to know about this topic. Children then created a title page for their topic books and some of their illustrations are beautiful!!
Hopefully you have all now heard about our trip to Creswell Crags. The payment is live on ParentPay and the letter is available to view via ParentHub or via our class page.
Children have not been given homework this week, but they should ensure that they read at home, practice their spellings on spelling shed and practice their times tables using TTRockstars.
