Our Learning
What a lovely first week back we have had in Seals class! I am so glad to hear that the children had such wonderful Christmas breaks. Our week has involved stories, teddy bears, equivalent lengths and much more!
English –
Our new topic is called ‘Fantasy Stories’ which involves writing about imaginary worlds. This week, we were introduced to our model text, Elf Road. So far, we have text mapped the story and comprehended the text. Children recited the model text incredibly well without any support which was fantastic! Today, we focused on writing sentences which use commas for lists.
Maths -
This week, children have been learning about equivalent lengths. This has involved converting cm and m, cm and mm and m and km! Towards the end of the week, we used our knowledge to add and subtract various lengths.

The task has been explained in class, but if you have any questions about this, please do get in touch. This piece of homework is due on Friday 21st January.
