WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

Week Beginning 15.11.2021

Our Learning

What a brilliant week we have had in Seals class. It has involved bronze, pyjamas and odd socks!

English –

During English this week, children wrote a set of instructions on ‘How to trap an animal’. Children carefully planned their instructions at the start of the week, ready for writing and then editing and publishing later in the week. Today, we completed a Children in Need themed crack the code activity. We have some great grammar detectives in Seals class!

Maths -

We have continued our Multiplication and Division unit of work this week. This has involved dividing by 1 and itself, multiplying and dividing by 3, multiplying and dividing by 6 and multiplying and dividing by 9. Children played a variety of multiplication and division games today to consolidate their learning this week.

Topic –

This week, we introduced children to the Bronze Age. We discussed what the Bronze Age is and how it began. Children used atlases and timeline dates to show on a map how and when Bronze was introduced around the world.

Homework –

Children have been given some English homework today. The task has been explained in class, but if you have any questions about this, please do get in touch. This piece of homework is due on Friday 26th November 2021. Children should practice their spellings and times tables and read at home alongside this.
