Our Learning
We have had another busy week in Seals class! It has involved division, French yoga and figurative language!
English –
We have continued our poetry unit this week, focusing on acrostic poems. We have analysed acrostic poems, looking at the language features used and planned and written our own acrostics. Some themes the children chose to wrote their acrostic poems about include nature, summer, animals and friendship!
Maths –
This week, we have continued our decimals unit of work. It has involved representing hundredths as fractions and decimals, representing hundredths on a place value chart and dividing 1-digit and 2-digit numbers by 100. Today, we practiced our times tables again using the ‘try it out’ sessions.
Homework –
Children have been given some Science homework this week which relates to the learning we have been doing in school. The task has been explained in class, but if you have any questions about this, please do get in touch. This piece of homework is due on Tuesday 2nd May 2023. Children should practice their spellings and times tables read at home alongside this.
