This week in Maths we have been continuing our learning on place value. We have looked at reading, writing, comparing and ordering numbers up to one million and we have also continued working on rounding. This time we extended to rounding to the nearest 10,000. We are still find this a bit tricky so we have used number lines to help us with this.
In English we have continued working on warning stories. We have boxed up the model text, written descriptive sentences about a picture that was taken on our school trip and we have planned the class innovate. We started to write up our innovates and will continue with this next week.
In topic we have been carefully looking at and annotating pictures of Britain before the Industrial Revolution and Britain during the Industrial Revolution. We then carefully thought about which time we would have preferred to live. These opinions were only based on what we have seen so far so it will be very interesting to see if they change at the end of this topic when we reflect of the learning that we do.
We were excited to start our wider opportunity lessons this week and we cannot wait to continue with this next week!
Thank you very much to all of those who attended the meet the teacher presentation on Wednesday afternoon. If you were unable to attend then I have uploaded the presentation below this update.
