We have certainly had a very busy week this week! I would like to just say a huge thank you to all of you for supporting us with the concert at Derby Cathedral. An amazing total of £5,500 was raised for the Rainbows Children's Hospice. We have really enjoyed working with Mrs Wilkes, who has done a brilliant job and I know she we very proud of all of the children.
In Maths we have been doing a little bit of revision. We have been working on our rounding and those of us that felt confident enough had a go at some rounding problems. We also played a game that we really enjoyed which recapped on some of our multiples and factors knowledge.
In English we have been learning an explanation text and we have found the key features in our model text. We have learnt about causal conjunction and modal verbs. We have had a go at including modal verbs in our writing by writing what we think we might be doing when we are 30. This was lots of fun and there were lots of creative and amitious ideas.
In topic we have been thinking about the living conditions in cities at the time of the Industrial Revolution. We have also had a go at working on a production line to create some lovely Christmas baubles for our classroom.
