We have had a bit of a different week this week! We have been looking at the progress that we have been making since the beginning of Year 5 and we have all concentrated and thought really carefully during each of the tasks that we have had to do.
We have been taking part in British Science Week by looking at the Great Barrier Reef and finding out lots of interesting information about it. We also did an experiment to explore why oil is such a danger in the ocean. We had to try 3 different methods (skimming, absorbing and dispersing) to see if we could separate the water and the oil. We soon discovered that this was very tricky!
We are all very much looking forward to our residential next week. The children now know who will be in their rooms with them. We will have lots of opportunities to talk about the residential and to ask any questions that we may have on Monday and Tuesday. In the meantime - get plenty of rest over the weekend!
