This week has been another great week- we can't believe it's the last day of the half term already!
We have been working on poetry this week in our English lessons- 'City Jungle' by Pie Corbett. This poem contained a lot of figurative language which we have identified together. The children have then written their own poem called 'Village Jungle' based on Repton village.
During our Maths lessons, we have been completing a range of different investigations. The children have enjoyed this and it has given us the opportunity to develop perseverance and work systematically. We will be doing a lot more of this in the final half term.
We have started our topic- The Amazing Americas. We have located countries within North and South America and briefly looked at states. Well done to those children that completed the extra homework challenge! We have also looked into the Amazon Rainforest- the children have done some amazing descriptive writing based on this!
Thank you to everyone that attended the information evening about the residential trip.- the medical form will be sent home too.
Have a lovely half term.
