This week started off very musically! We had a clarinet demonstration from Mrs Beck and then a demonstration of the keyboard from Yamaha. A fantastic assembly, hopefully your child brought a letter home regarding a free session. A fantastic opportunity!
It is great to hear lots of book recommendations too this week. We have a few more titles on our classroom display and I must admit I know which book I am going to read next. Keep up the reading and we look forward to hearing your recommendations.
We have continued to work on formal calculations this week, in particular division. Long division can be very tricky, especially remembering the process, so we have done a lot of practise on this, this is also the homework for this week.
During our English lessons, we have started planning our invented story. We had some fantastic ideas which were well suited to the genre. Great stories Badgers- well done.
We have also found out a little more about Ellen MacArthur’s trip around the world and used this information for our biography cold write. This is our next topic in English which will take us to half term.
Another super week. Have a good weekend
