We kicked off the spring term with a CSI Day. The children all really enjoyed the activities, adults too. Everyone seemed very interested in each of the activities throughout the day. The purpose of the day was provide the children with an exciting experience that would spark writing. We have spent the rest of this week in journalist teams, planning and writing newspaper reports. We will also be using this day as a stimulus for a bit of speaking and listening and drama next week.
In maths, we have started our new topic on decimals, the first lesson, we looked at the value of digits within numbers to three decimal places. We have then moved onto using this knowledge to multiply decimal numbers by integers. The homework this week is based on decimals.
We look forward to seeing you at the SATs meeting on Monday evening at 6pm.
Have a great weekend.
