This week the children have all worked hard editing and publishing their diary entries in English. We have continued working on the area of triangles and parallelograms this week, in particular solving problems that involve this skill.
It has been assessment week too, which has meant that the children have completed the final practise papers that we will do before SATs. We have kept the order of these the same as they would be in May. The children will be informed of their scores soon and you will also be informed of this during parents evening later in the half term.
It has been British Science Week this week, we have focused on Europe and the landscapes, in particular volcanoes. We conducted an experiment where we looked at how volcanoes act, and what happens if they erupt. We all really enjoyed this- we had to move out of the way very quickly.
We also had a visitor in class to talk about fire safety, your child should have brought home a letter and leaflet about this. They may have also asked you a few questions about smoke alarms and an escape plan.
Have a brilliant weekend,
Mrs Pushkarich and Mrs Eaton.
