The children participated in a fun, exciting activity as part of World Book Day called "The Masked Reader". The Masked Reader is a fun, school-wide reading activity where staff read a short book extract while disguised behind a character or “mask”. Children listen carefully to the mystery reader’s voice, look for clues, and try to guess who it is before the big reveal. It’s a playful way to promote a love of reading, build excitement around books, and get everyone talking about stories at home and in school.
If you would like to have a play at home, I have put the PowerPoint below so you can have a go at guessing which staff member is each character, and what book some of us are reading! Answers are on the last slide and will be revealed one at a time so just keep clicking when you get to the end!
Please remember to turn your volume up as some of the voices are a bit quiet.
Also you will need to use your mousepad/mouse to click on the sound symbols on each character, so you can hear each person speak!
