WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

W/c 29/04/24

What a busy and sunny week we have had. This week has involved decimals and fractions, volumes and mass.  A non-chronological report about animals has been written and we have learned lots of new facts.  Read on to find out more…

In Maths this week Year 3 have been measuring capacity and volume in litres and millilitres.  They have also thought about comparing capacities and volumes while also adding and subtracting capacity and volume. Can you explain this True or False question to your grown-up?

Year 4 have carried on with their unit learning about Decimals.  They have thought about dividing a 2-digit number by 10 and what hundredths are as fractions.  They have also thought about hundredths as decimals and hundredths on a place value chart.  Can you explain this True or False question to your grown-up?

In English we have carried on with learning about and writing Non-Chronological Reports.  This week has seen us box up our WAGOLL, thinking about the different sections of our model text and what goes in each part. We have also researched our own chosen animal. The Puffins found out lots of interesting facts that are going to make some brilliant Non-Chronological reports. Super writing Puffins.

In Science we have been learning about the digestive system.  We learnt all about the different parts of our digestive system and what they do, we then used ourselves as models to show where these parts are.  Can you tell your grown up the difference between the small intestine and the large intestine?

In Computing we have thought about predicting weather and how we can use technology to do this. What do you think the weather is going to be like next week?

I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Stay safe.

Mrs Karamucki
