Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Yesterday I took the fantastic donations that our community have given this year for our harvest festival. The decision was made to donate our produce to the Hill Street Baptist Church food bank in Swadlincote as some of our families have benefited from this over the past year. Petra, pictured here with Mr Tague, was overwhelmed by the generosity of our school community and said this will go a long way and was very much appreciated.
Thank you again to everyone that donated this year.
Our school was well represented at the Remembrance parade on Sunday 14th November. We had children in Beavers, Brownies and Cubs as well the choir in church. In addition to this our two Year 6 school council representatives laid a poppy wreath for our school to remember all of those, past and present, that have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
This Friday Mrs Riley took the KS2 members of the school council to St Wystan's church to lay wooden crosses at the war graves for remembrance day. Our school council members were brilliantly behaved and were very respectful during our task. Well done to all involved.
