WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

1.12.23

We have had a very busy week this week with lots of assessment activities to help monitor learning progress. The children have all worked very hard.

In the afternoons, we have still continued with other lessons. On Tuesday, we completed a research activity to find out about the melting and boiling points of different materials. The children were particularly interested to learn that mercury is a liquid at room temperature.

In our topic work this week, we have found out about Viking beliefs. The children were quick to recognise that many of the Viking and Anglo-Saxon gods were very similar. The enjoyed making fact files and a Top Trumps game with the information.

Thank you for all of the donations you have sent in ready for the Christmas Fair next Friday. They are all very much appreciated and will help to raise money to provide your children with all of the extra things that make school special. The fair will be straight after school next Friday and there are lots of super stalls. Santa still has a few spaces left so please contact the office to book your time slot.

We are looking forward to going to see the KS1 Christmas play at the ‘400 Hall’ at Repton School next Friday. We will be leaving school around 1.15. If you would be able to walk down with us, please let us know as your support is really valued.

Finally, just a reminder that next Wednesday is Christmas Jumper Day, Christmas lunch and our pantomime.

Have a lovely weekend!
