This week we have continued learning about fractions in maths and will start new work next week. Please continue to work on times tables as this is so essential to calculating with fractions. Some of the children who are using TTRS regularly are now moving up our school leader board and love watching their names being moved on the big display!
In English we have started work on writing persuasive letters and have looked at devices such as using emotive language to do this. When you are reading newspapers or looking at adverts on the television, see if you can spot the different ways you are being persuaded!
On Thursday, the children had a wonderful time making their volcano models erupt. We used baking soda and vinegar mixed with red food colouring to make fabulous chemical reactions. This was also linked with our science week work.
