WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

2.2.24

This week we have been very busy writing our stories set in Viking times. The children have done a super job of including the features we have learned about and making their stories really imaginative.

In maths we have been working on multiplication and division and year 4 have been leaning to use more formal methods. Knowing times tables and division facts is such an essential part of their work and helps them to make good progress. Please encourage your children to learn tables in what ever way you wish but please try to use TTRS as much as possible. The children love it when they get onto the weekly leader board. Thank you for all of your efforts for costumes last Friday, the children had a fantastic day!

Next week, we have our Forest School day on Tuesday. The classes that have done this so far have had a wonderful time. This session will take place on school grounds and will be a whole day experience. Children will need to wear appropriate warm clothing: waterproofs, long-sleeved tops, long trousers, coat and sturdy footwear, as we will be outside for most of the day. I would also advise a hat, scarf and gloves as the weather forecast is looking rather cold! Wellies can sometimes be rather cold, so a couple of pairs of socks would help. There will be no swimming or PE for Squirrels on Tuesday, but PE as normal on Monday.
