W/c 27th November 2023

This week has involved some super concentration in assessments, some scientific fact finding and some Norse Gods investigating.  Read on to find out more…

This week has been assessment week, the children have carried out their reading, Maths and Grammar assessments so sensibly and carefully.  I am very proud of hard they all worked and how well they persevered through questions that they found difficult. Well done Puffins!

We carried on our States of Matter Science unit this week by looking at the melting and boiling points of a variety of metals.  We then thought about what melting and boiling points mean and how changes of state occur.

In Topic we learnt about the Gods that the Vikings worshipped. What they were God of and what special powers and symbols they had.  The children also created Top Trumps cards for their Viking Gods.

We carried on making our Viking long houses in our DT lesson, many of them I’m sure the Vikings would have been proud of themselves!

I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Stay safe
