Can you believe it, we have just completed week 4! The time is flying by. We have been super busy again this week.
We have finished writing our Mayan Folk Tales and they are brilliant. Well done Ravens. These are all displayed on our writing walls in class. We are starting a new topic of Newspaper reports next week.
In Maths, we have been looking at addition and subtraction methods. This has also involved using the inverse to check answers which is a vital skill to ensure we are accurate. This will continue next week.
We have looked at Mayan inventions too this week and the children have created some great posters about their chosen invention. We were also very lucky to watch an interview with Maz Evans- the author of 'Who let the God's out'. She has released a new book called 'Oh Maya God's'. This obviously links with our topic. It was great to hear all about the new book from the author. This inspired some of the children to want to read it, so we have purchased some for school.
