We have had a lovely week celebrating World Book Week. It was wonderful to see all of the children dressed up as their words on Thursday. As part of our work during the week, we thought about the characters in Matilda and built up a poem about being fair. Two of our children were also chosen to visit the library at Repton School to be shown some of the wonderful ancient texts they have.
It was lovely to have chance to chat with you all about your children and the progress they are making and ways to support them during the week. Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time if I can help you with any questions you have.
Next week is Science week and we will be making a volcano linking to our topic work. If you have any spare newspapers or an empty pop bottle, please send them in. The children are working in groups so please do not worry if you don’t have any.
