Recalling multiplication facts is important as it supports children with other aspects of the Maths curriculum. Times tables knowledge enhances mental arithmetic and allows children to solve problems more easily. Children should be given daily opportunities to practice their times tables, either verbally, written or as part of a game. Therefore, it is extremely important that children practice their times tables often to ensure they become fluent and confident.
