Another busy week in the Owls Class! Well done for a fantastic show this week! We are so proud of you all!
In maths, we have started our new unit of work: Shape. This week, we have been exploring 2D shapes. We have been naming different 2D shapes and drawing them. We have also been counting the sides. Show someone at home what you can do:
We also learnt to count the vertices on 2D shapes (corners). Can you tell someone at home how many vertices each of these shapes has?:
square, hexagon, pentagon, triangle
In English, we wrote our non-chronological reports all about Queen Elizabeth II. Can you remember any facts you included? We then edited our reports using our writing toolkit. The children have done a fantastic job. I am really proud of the progress they are making with their writing.
In topic, we have been comparing Victorian Christmas with Christmas today. We compared using a Venn Diagram. Show someone at home how this works:
