We have had a fantastic last week of the half term with the highlight being our visit to Tamworth Castle. The children were all beautifully behaved and we were complemented by the castle staff for the way they behaved and their questions and prior knowledge. Please look at our section of photographs from the day.
In our English work, we wrote a double page spread recounting our visit to the castle and included lots of drawings. In our topic work, we rounded of this section of work by writing a double page spread showing all of the facts we have learned over the last few weeks and illustrating them with drawings and photographs. The end results were quite superb!
After the holiday, we will start to learn about the Vikings and in particular their time in this county. We will find out about their daily lives and major events such as the period the overwintered in Repton. We will explore the facts and dispel some of the myths.
