WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

W/C 10.06.24

This week, we have completed our KS1 optional SATs. We completed two maths papers (arithmetic and reasoning) and two reading papers. The children all worked very hard and should be very proud of themselves!

In maths, we recapped our addition & subtraction, multiplication & division, fractions, money, shape and time knowledge. We used our knowledge to solve lots of different problems. Show someone at home how you would tackle the problems below...

In English, we have learnt our new model text, a non-chronological report about tigers. We boxed-up the text and found features such as conjunctions, suffixes, titles and subheadings, question and nouns. We then innovated the model text by changing the subject and introduction. Finally, we began our own research for our own non-chronological report. Which animal did you choose? What did you find out?

In science, we completed our DT project - designing and creating a flower pot! We will be taking these home on Monday.

On Wednesday, we had our KS1 sports day! We had a fantastic afternoon!
