Welcome back to school and to the Ravens class. 

The children have all been absolutely fantastic this week. It has been a big shock coming back and concentrating for long periods of time for us all- staff included, but the children have worked so hard. Well done, a well deserved break this weekend. 

We have completed some more getting to know you activities and team building exercises in PE this week. Alongside this we have also started our new topics. We are working on place value in maths for the next few weeks and so far everyone has a great understanding of this. 

We have started an English topic based on a story about The Mayans. This is also the focus for our History this half term.  The children have created some great art work already based on Mayan times. 

Everybody has been listened to read and has a new reading book, please listen to the children read these at home. We will be getting library books next week.  We simply ran out of time this week.  

The children have brought home a piece of spelling homework which is due to be back in school on Thursday. The spellings are also on spelling shed to practise. Thursday will be spelling test and homework day this year.
