We have had a great week in Ravens. We have continued with our maths work on place value, a big focus this week has been rounding to the nearest 1000, 10000 and 100000. Everyone has worked hard on this but to reinforce this learning the children have some homework based on this skill.
We have also continued our work on the Mayan folk tale. Today we started writing the opening of this and I was absolutely blown away with the effort from the children. We had some fantastic work which included adjectives, similes and even some cohesive devices. We will be completing this next week.
We have also learnt a lot of Mayan food this week, the children have brought home two recipes to try at home if they like. It would be great to hear what they think to them.
Many children are moving up our behaviour ladder, which is fantastic, some children even reaching the top. Great attitudes Ravens, keep it up.
